Open Faculty Positions in Clinical and Quantitative Psychology, Rowan University

  1. Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology. The Psychology Department at Rowan University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin Fall 2016. The ideal candidate will make a significant contribution to our new Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology with training in Health and Integrated Primary Care. Research area is open but experience/research in health-related issues and/or integrated primary care are encouraged.
Candidates will be expected to maintain an active program of research that is competitive for external funding as well as teach graduate and undergraduate courses. Minimum qualifications for this position include: a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited clinical psychology program, completion of an APA-accredited internship, and licensure (or eligibility) as a psychologist in New Jersey. In addition to our new Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology, the Department of Psychology offers Masters’ degrees and advanced graduate certificate programs in Applied Behavior Analysis, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and School Psychology.

Rowan University is a comprehensive state-designated research institution with approximately 15,000 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia, and it has a branch campus and medical school in Camden and a second medical school in nearby Stratford. Rowan is the second university in the country to offer M.D. and D.O. medical-degree granting programs. The School of Osteopathic Medicine has a faculty practice plan that serves approximately 200,000 patients in Southern New Jersey. The institution is also home to the South Jersey Technology Park, which fosters the translation of applied research into commercial products and processes. Its business incubator also supports that mission. The University boasts seven colleges–William G. Rohrer College of Business, Henry M.    2. Assistant Professor in Quantitative Psychology/Statistics. The Psychology Department at Rowan University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin Fall 2016. The ideal candidate will have a background in psychology, public health/epidemiology, biostatistics, or a closely related field.  Candidates should have expertise, training, and communication skills that will allow them to effectively teach advanced graduate and undergraduate statistics courses in our department. Candidates will also be expected to contribute to active programs of research within the department that are competitive for external funding and may develop an independent area of research.  The minimum qualification for the position is a doctoral degree (ABD at time of application will be considered) with a quantitative emphasis.
