The Emory University Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD) Program is seeking a psychologist with a clinical and research background to evaluate patients and provide clinical care for appropriate patients who need psychotherapy as part of the recommendations.  The Treatment Resistant Depression Program is part of the Brain Health Center and is an academic center with a research, education and clinical mission to evaluate and recommend treatment for clients with severe resistant depression.  The TRD Clinic provides consultation and makes recommendations for further care including advanced treatments in depression (e.g., transcranial magnetic stimulation, electroconvulsive therapy and investigational treatments including transcranial direct current stimulation, ketamine and deep brain stimulation).  Chief responsibilities will be divided between the evaluation of all new patients with Dr. McDonald, the clinical director, and follow up psychotherapy with appropriate patients.  The psychologist will be part of the academic mission of the Program and will participate in research and teaching as part of this mission. Graduation from a nationally accredited psychology program. Current licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in the state of Georgia.
