RA Position for the Mindful Awareness for Parenting Stress (MAPS) research study at Loma Linda University

Opening for a Research Assistant on an Intervention Study Examining the Efficacy of Mindfulness Interventions for Parents of Young Children with Developmental Delays at Loma Linda University. The Research Assistant for the Psychology department is responsible for coordinating the administration of the Mindful Awareness for Parenting Stress (MAPS) research study (see study website for details at www.mapsproject.org) and would be supervised by Drs. Cameron Neece and Lisa Roberts. This is a one to two year position (about 11/13 – 7/15). The Research Assistant will handle administrative management of the study, including implementing and maintaining participant tracking databases and ensure that information is accurate and up-to-date; coordinate record keeping and manage the supply of study materials; manage Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, including assisting in the preparation and submission of revisions and updates to the IRB; assist with data collection from parent and child participants; conduct interviews with parents and study activities with children as part of data collection for the research study; analyze and enter research data collected, as part of the study, into
the appropriate databases; participate in staff meetings; and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a closely related field, with significant Psychology coursework, is required. Additional clinical or research experience strongly preferred.  Bilingual (Spanish, English) preferred.
