CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST, COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY FOR ANXIETY, OCD-RELATED, AND MOOD DISORDERS:
The Anxiety Disorders Center/Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ADC/CCBT) at the Institute of Living/Hartford Hospital is seeking a full time clinical psychologist. The ADC/CCBT is a combined clinical and research unit specializing in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety- and mood-related problems, and applied research on the nature and treatment of anxiety and related disorders. We are accepting applications for a scientist-practitioner clinician who will spend the majority of his/her time providing direct clinical service. Other duties may include supervision of graduate clinicians, working as a therapist or assessor in clinical trials, and assisting with study coordination. The psychologist will have the opportunity to write independent research funding proposals, if so desired; however, this is not required.
Qualifications include a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in clinical psychology; Connecticut licensed or license-eligible; and training and experience with CBT for anxiety and/or mood disorders. Other abilities, the ability to treat other conditions such as attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder or personality disorders, are highly desirable but not required. Although extensive research experience is not required, the successful candidate will demonstrate adherence to the scientist-practitioner model.
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Send cover letter, curriculum vitae and three letters of recommendation to: David F. Tolin, Ph.D., ABPP, Director, Anxiety Disorders Center/Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, The Institute of Living, 200 Retreat Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106. For questions, call (860) 545-7685 or e-mail to david.tolin@hhchealth.org.
