Research Study Assistant Position

The Research Study Assistant will work on National Institutes of Health-funded studies focusing on diagnosing mental disorders in bereavement, developing a bereavement risk screening tool, and evaluating a meaning-centered grief intervention for bereaved parents.  The Research Study Assistant will also assist with studies of interventions for breast cancer survivors.  General responsibilities include recruitment of participants, follow up of participants, database management, regulatory management and quality assurance. Experience with multi-media research is highly desirable.

Required Qualifications:
·         Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
·         If no Bachelor’s degree, a high school diploma with 2 years of MSK research/medical experience is required.
·         Military experience can be used in place of the educational requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:
·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology or a related field.
·         One or more years of research experience in a psychology setting.
·         Behavioral or Social Sciences research experience.

Useful Skills:
·         Experience working with an Institutional Review Board.
·         Experience working with data and using data analysis software.

Position Description:
·         Full-time work at 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.
·         Looking for someone to start as soon as possible with a one to two year commitment.
