Pain Management Position
This psychologist will join an interdisciplinary team in our Spine and Pain Management Center (http://www.shmg.org/spine). The primary responsibilities will include psychotherapy (individual, group), pre-surgical psychological evaluations, and consultation. We are particularly interested to identify psychologists with 5+ years of postdoctoral clinical experience, leadership experience/potential, and/or diversity characteristics. This psychologist will join an interdisciplinary team in our Surgical Weight Loss program (http://www.shmg.org/
bariatrics). The primary responsibilities will focus on outpatient pre-surgical evaluations for bariatric surgery; telehealth evaluations are likely by 2017 for our rural service locations. Both positions are primarily clinical, but there will be limited opportunities for teaching, research, and program development. Competitive applicants will be ABPP board-certified or board-eligible and follow evidence-based practice guidelines.
