Both positions are primarily clinical, but there will be limited opportunities for teaching, research, and program development.  Competitive applicants will be ABPP board-certified or board-eligible and follow evidence-based practice guidelines. We will begin reviewing applications for these new positions immediately, with a start date as soon as April 2016.  Successful candidates will be able to obtain academic faculty status in the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University.  Clinical supervision opportunities will be available in Spectrum Health’s new psychology internship program (http://www.spectrumhealth.org/psychology-internship).

Grand Rapids, Michigan
Grand Rapids was named as the top U.S. travel destination in 2014 by Lonely Planet, the world’s largest travel guide publisher.  We have the most vibrant downtown between Chicago and Cleveland, a world-renowned art scene, world-class breweries, semi-pro sports teams, fascinating museums, and easy access to Lake Michigan’s gold coast (with 300 miles of spectacular beaches, soaring sand dunes, and spectacular sunsets).  Metropolitan Grand Rapids has a population of just over one million people, with mild traffic and safe communities. It is a great place to live, work, raise a family, and have fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIakr9wkiKI.
